CIBN to hold annual dinner

The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) has concluded plans to hold its 2016 yearly Bankers Dinner on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Harbour Point, 4 Wilmot Road, off Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos.

In attendance at the Night is CON, FCIB, Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, who is expected to deliver a keynote address on the state of the Banking Industry and the economy; a two-time Minister of Industry and President, the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI); Dr. Nike Akande, the U.S Ambassador to Nigeria; James Entwistle among others.

Executive Governor, Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, FCA, is also expected as the distinguished Guest of Honour. The Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Access Bank Plc and Chairman, Body of Bank CEOs, Herbert Wigwe, FCIB, will deliver a goodwill message at the forum, which will attract top dignitaries from the banking and finance industries, the business community, members of the diplomatic corps and top government functionaries.

Other top dignitaries expected at the important occasion include Dr. Okwu Nnanna, Deputy Governor, Financial System Stability, CBN; Mr. Femi Odubiyi, Lagos State Commissioner for Science & Technology; Mr. Abdulraman Abdulateef, Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs, all Chairmen and Managing Directors/CEOs of Nigerian Banks and other financial instutions.Prof. Segun Ajibola, Ph.D, FCIB, President/Chairman of Council, CIBN, will be the Chief Host of the Dinner.
