Federal Fire Service promotes 198 officers

federal-fire-serviceThe Federal Fire Service (FFS) has elevated 198 of its Officers to various levels in the recent promotion released by Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration, Prison Service Board (CDFIPB).

The details of the promotion are as follows: 94 Superintendent Officers, one Controller of fire, seven conversions, 73 inspectorate carders and 15 other ranks benefited from the exercise.

Addressing the officers, the Controller General, Joseph Garba Anebi, directed zonal and sectional heads to carry out decoration of beneficiaries in their various units, adding, that their promotion connotes additional responsibilities.


He therefore, charged them to work in harmony with other officers’ in order to earn their support, stressing that working as a team would further position the service to achieve more in the New Year.

Anebi also assured members of staff better days ahead with increase in the number of personnel to be promoted in 2017, which he said would be based on merit and hard work.
