Firm appoints regional MD for West Africa

Hitachi Vantara, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd, has appointed Akinwale Awosokanre as Regional Managing Director for West Africa.

Awosokanre has more than 20 years of experience in Business Development and Sales in the Telecommunications, Manufacturing and IT industries. Prior to joining Hitachi, he led the Engineered Systems team at Oracle.

“We are pleased to announce this new appointment. Akinwale has formidable technical expertise and a firm understanding of business requirements. This has enabled him to become a trusted advisor across various sectors in Africa.

Akinwale will play an important part in driving this new strategy in West Africa,” the Managing Director of Hitachi Vantara Sub Saharan Africa, Alexander Jenewein said.

In his new role, Awosokanre will be responsible for growing both new and existing business. “By focusing on getting the fundamentals right, my goal is to help our customers prepare for the future. Together we will drive profitability and take their businesses to new heights of success.
