Group commends Buhari on youth empowerment
The Niger-Delta Youth and Women Security Movements For Buhari (NDYWSMB), has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his effort at reducing unemployment in the country.
The President of the group, Felix Ubaka, applauded the Federal Government for its commitment to creating jobs for youths.
He cited such Federal Government’s initiative as the Youth Empowerment Programmes like N-power.
He, however, lamented the neglect and marginalisation of the Niger Delta region for so long.
Ubaka stressed that the employment of Youths was one of initiatives of the (NDYWSMB) group to key into the government’s policy of job and wealth creation.
He said the group’s mandate is to train 10, 000 youth and women to keep surveillance on pipelines to stop them from being vandalized.
He explained further that the scheme was borne out of the desire to ensure that unemployed youth and women benefited in the government empowerment programme and were liberated from poverty.
The group pledged their unflinching support for the Buhari-led All Progressives Congress (APC) government and endorsed him for a second tenure.
