GSK Pharma organises forum for researchers on healthcare development
GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Nigeria Limited has partnered with researchers and stakeholders in the healthcare sector to chart ways of improving research in Africa.
In this regard, GSK Pharmaceuticals Nigeria organised a forum on research in Abuja for no fewer than 75 researchers, scholar scientists, healthcare professionals, regulators and government representatives who shared research experiences that would positively impact and improve the nation’s healthcare sector.
The Managing Director of GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Nigeria, Bhushan Akshikar said that the forum provided an important opportunity to engage researchers in Africa, adding that the engagement would help to improve healthcare services and posterity in research and innovation.
“Our mission at GSK is to improve the quality of human lives by enabling people do more, feel better and live longer. We can only continue to achieve this by ensuring that everything we do is based on science. This is underpinned by our investments in Research and Development as well as our partnership with 1,500 scientific and academic organisations and other companies,” he said.
