In its bid to eradicate substandard electrical products that have seen lives and properties lost through fire disasters, JMG Limited has rewarded dealers of its latest electrical brand, IndoAsian to promote distribution of high-quality products in the Nigerian market as well as to ensure safety in the environment.

The organization known as a diversified solution provider with a broad portfolio in power generation, electrical infrastructures and industrial equipment with over 10 years of experience in Africa and strong partnerships with some of the world’s leading brands, recently introduced the IndoAsian electrical brand to reduce the hazards caused by inferior products.

Those rewarded include: Johncan Industries Limited, Alaba International Market, Divine Assets, Alaba International Market and Rubcee Limited, Alaba International Market, who were given various items ranging from washing machine, home theater, LCD plasma Television among others.

Speaking at the prize presentation ceremony to honour the IndoAsian dealers in the last financial year, the Group General Manager, Mr. Rabi Jammal said the company decided to reward those partners who ensured quality electrical products get to the Nigerian consumers, as part of effort to fully eradicate fake product.

“JMG emphasize on quality and safety in all our products and this is why we have been pushing very hard to promote quality products to the Nigerian markets, which add value to the Nigerian consumer, and we bring quality products at affordable prices to people at home and offices. Of course nothing can be done without our distributors, it’s a strong partnership with whoever is meeting with the consumer on a day-to-day basis and the purpose of rewarding them is to acknowledge their efforts and wish them good,” he said.

Although, there have been efforts to eliminate substandard electrical appliances and adulterated imported products in Nigeria by the government through the regulatory agencies, perpetrators have still managed to infiltrate the market with such products, causing damage to lives, properties and the environment, with about N15 billion reportedly lost annually to these products in the country.

Jammal noted that with the IndoAsian Switch gear products and other range of electrical appliances suitable for building infrastructures, substandard products do not stand a chance to survive in the market.

He added that the company eliminates fake products through a strong network of distributors that are known to sell “authentic and genuine products” by supporting their image and brand through advertising and consumers’ awareness.

He, however, urged the government to promote quality product to get rid of fake ones in the market.“Our company hosts a workforce of nearly 1600 professionals who work with passion to deliver high-quality products and services. Our processes are ‘ISO’ certified to safeguard quality, the environment, and people’s health and safety. We pride ourselves in having one of the best maintenance and distribution networks in Africa, which enable us to offer quick delivery and round the clock after-sales support to enhance customers’ experience with all our products. Together with our clients, we develop competitive solutions in the areas of power, energy efficiency and safety, as well as industrial and building infrastructures. Our solutions enable our customers to gain an edge in the African market and enrich their lives in a cost and resource friendly way.

The Group general Manager continued, “Government can help in encouraging quality, authentic and genuine products to fight counterfeit ones. We need to support distributors image and brand, and ensure quality products are sourced through authorized channels.”

Commending JMG for the gesture, the Managing Director, Johncan Industrial Electrical Company, John Evoh, who emerged overall winner, said the IndoAsian products are reliable with Nigerians accepting them.

“It has gone wide, and the way the switch jars, change overs and distribution boards are used by companies circle breaker are commendable, I receive calls from people from all works of life demanding for supply of the products,” he added.
