Lagos HOS charges staff on hard work

The Lagos State Head of Service, Olabowale Ademola has charged the state civil servants to be determined and focused in discharging their duties, urging them to continue to work hard in order to be successful in their chosen career.

The Lagos State Head of Service, Olabowale Ademola has charged the state civil servants to be determined and focused in discharging their duties, urging them to continue to work hard in order to be successful in their chosen career.

Ademola, who spoke in Lagos during the Officer of the Quarter Award for the Public Service Office, noted that the award was instituted to recognise and reward excellence and commitment of its staff.

“It is one of the many ways the Public Service Office seeks to motivate staff who have distinguished themselves in the discharge of their duties. I am, therefore, delighted that we have instituted this award to reward excellence, efficiency and diligence among staff of the Public Service Office,” she said.

She congratulated the two awardees, Oluyemisi Ogunyemi, a Chief Administrative and Human Resources Officer, who won in the senior category and Adewole Agunbiade, an Office Attendant, who won in the junior category for their positive contributions to the Public Service Office and urged them to work even harder.

The Permanent Secretary, Fiyinfoluwa Ogunbanke, who was represented by the Director, Administrative and Human Resources, Mr. T. A. Buraimoh, noted that the awardees deserved the award, adding that they were selected through a rigorous and transparent screening process based on merit, dedication and commitment to duty, among other criteria.

She urged the awardees to put in their best at all times and asked other members of staff to emulate the awardees to earn similar recognition in future.The elated awardees thanked the management for the honour and promised to work harder and show diligence in the discharge of their duties.
