LEAP Africa has announced the appointment of a new chairman and four directors onboard its operations.

The new members who will help drive the goals of the non profit organization are the Director, Leadership and Organisational Development, Etisalat Nigeria, Rabi Isma, Founder and Publisher Cable Newspaper, Simon Kolawole, Founder and Managing Director JNC International Nigeria Limited, Claire Omatseye and Founder, BellaNaija.com. and Bainstone Nigeria Limited, Uche Pedro.

Besides, it said Dr. Nadu Denloye a seasoned IT entrepreneur, mentor, people manager and business leader is expected to chair its board, replacing Mrs. Yemisi Ayeni, whose tenure just expired.

A statement by LEAP said the appointments and addition of the new directors will help deepen the impact of LEAP Africa’s work across Nigeria through their vast experiences, creativity and vision for social development in Nigeria.
Giving profile details of the new chairman and board members, the statement said Dr. Denloye is currently Director at CDNet Ltd/Gte, a non- profit career development initiative.

She is an alumni of the University of Hull, England, United Kingdom from where she capped her educational pursuit with a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering in 1981.

It also explained that Isma prior to joining Etisalat, was Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Kano State and worked with British Council for several years as Centre Services Manager, Director Support Services and Director Marketing (Nigeria).

A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University (BSc Computer Science and Economics), Ahmadu Bello University (PGDM, MIAD), and University of Wales, Aberystwyth (MSc Econ MLIS), she was awarded a Rotary fellowship for Peace and Conflict Studies at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.

Besides, it said Kolawole, graduated with Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos, and a Master’s degree in Governance and Development from the University of Sussex, UK, and a British Chevening Scholar is the Founder/CEO of Cable Newspaper Ltd,

Omatseye is the Founder and Managing Director of JNC International Limited, a medical equipment project company with 18 exclusive International Distributorship.

A seasoned Pharmacist with about 25 years of experience in Medical Device Technology, Public Health, Healthcare Policy, International Marketing, Pharmaceuticals, Business Strategy and Entrepreneurship, Omatseye obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from IESE Barcelona in 1999.

Pedro is the Founder and Managing Director of BainStone Limited (Founded 2009) and BellaNaija.com (founded 2006)-a pioneer online media industry in Nigeria.

She has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, Canada.
