Mandilas celebrates leadership qualities of former staff

Friends and stakeholders in the automobile industry recently gathered in Lagos to celebrate the former Group General Manager and Chief Executive Officer, Mandilas Group, David Edwards, after 13 years of meritorious service.

Friends and stakeholders in the automobile industry recently gathered in Lagos to celebrate the former Group General Manager and Chief Executive Officer, Mandilas Group, David Edwards, after 13 years of meritorious service.

The event which held in Lagos, featured members of the media, staff and friends of the company.

Speaking at the occasion, Group Chief Executive Officer, Mandilas Group, Ola Debayo-Doherty, said the former CEO played prominent role in steering the company through different challenges.
 
“I can say that in the short period I have spent with him during the transition, he is an energetic and passionate person, “ she said.

 
Debayo-Doherty, who declared that the Mandilas Group had become a household name in the country for over 70 years, said the company strong commitment to customers’ service has enable them withstand the ever-changing phases of the country’s economy.

Looking back, the Group General Manager said the company from the day of Carrier Air conditioners and the Volkswagen Beetle, had risen today to partner with some of the world ‘s great brands available in air-conditioning and auto industries.
 
She assured that the foundation the former Group’s helmsman had laid for the company would be sustained and advanced.
 
At the event, friends and customers eulogised the former helmsman, and described him as an achiever who achieved his set goals.
 
Edwards, who started work as a Consultant in 2002,and later joined the company fully in 2005, as a Finance Development Manager, appreciated the efforts of the staff in moving it forward, saying they have been instrumental in making his job easier while he was in charge.
