The Lagos State chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) will today hold the second Lagos Public Relations Industry Gala and Awards (LaPRIGA) to celebrate its practitioners and the contributions of public relations profession to the socio-economic development of the country.

LaPRIGA said it is poised to be the premier showcase that recognizes excellence in public relations practice by individuals, corporate and public organisations to encourage professionalism and more investment in public relations practice.

Themed, ‘celebration of sucess’, the event is scheduled to take place at the civic centre in Lagos.

Speaking on the event, the Chairman, Lagos NIPR, Olusegun McMedal, said that PR consultancies, practitioners and journalists will be honoured with the LaPRIGA awards in different categories ranging from best agencies to work, agency of the year, among others.  

He said: “Each of the nominee have played long-time leadership roles, serving as sources of inspiration in workplace and the industry, raising standards and helping to redefine and expand the roles of communicators in the socio-economic development of the country.”
