Rice, wheat farmers to get N2b empowerment in Kebbi
Kebbi State government would empower rice and wheat women farmers with N2 billion empowerment, the state governor, Senator Atiku Bagudu has said.
Atiku stated this in the state capital, Birnin Kebbi while celebrating his 54 years birthday organized by his Wife, Dr. Zainab Atiku Shinkafi with orphanage and vulnerable people.
He explained further that the empowering of women through farming mechanism is part of the wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari’s initiative at curbing poverty and corruption among women while also empowering them to overcome challenges posed by the economic recession.
“I am appealing to you women who have not register under anchor borrowers loan should go and register as another money would be released meanly for women on farming” he added.
He applauded the organiser of the occasion and assured them of good governance and accountability of his administration.
In her remark, the wife of the Governor Dr. Zainab Shinkafi thanked the people of the state for the love and trust given to her husband’s administration and assured them of providing the dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
Also in her speech, the organiser of the occasion and the permanent secretary Ministry of Women Affair, Rafatu Hammani lauded the governor for carrying the less privilege along as well as bring succor to the state.
