Tribe of Nation web series, Dawn season two was last week premiered in Surulere amid cheers, commendations for young Writer/ Executive Producer, Anita Edwards.

Dawn written and produced by Anita Edwards is a follow up to Tribe nation’s 2011 short film, ‘The Morning After Dawn realised in 2013.

It features some familiar faces such as Alex Usifo, Dayo Davies, Jude Orhorha and a host of new talents such as Femi Ogunsanmi, Paul Adams, Precious Adebisi and Femi Ogunsanmi. The executive producer is Anita Edwards.

According to the executive producer, Anita Edwards, Dawn is an exciting story that raises hope and how to overcome unpleasant circumstances

“Everyone have a chance to make it in life; there is no part that is too scary or situation that cannot be overcome; no one is unredeemable, that’s why its call Dawn because there is always joy after overcoming an unpalatable situation.

On working with veterans like Alex Usifo, she said, “his support was amazing, he calls everyday to ensure to monitor and ensure everything is fine; I think we need that in the industry, I think the industry has the tendency to look down on people just coming up because I have suffered that before getting to this level, I grew up watching some of them that worked with me on this project, I can’t take the glory, I recognize their fatherly role and I will forever be grateful to them.

Giving an overview on the movie, Nollywood actor, Dayo Davies who played the role of a pastor, remarked, “you don’t judge people from afar;
It’s fun working with young actors because we meet people everyday and if you don’t relate with them, it means you are in another world entirely. Definitely, the young will always grow to be an elder and I never find it difficult working with them.

The film is educative, it underscores how well parents should know their children; so that when children come up with strange behaviour which should be noticed and dealt with; at times, it’s good to allow your children to bring their friends home, good or bad. Youth will also learn a lot watching the film.

Tribe of Nation known for its short comedy sketches is owned by the 25 years old, Anita Edwards.
