FAAN set to complete Benin runway resurfacing soon
To enforce parking rule for tanker drivers
The General Manager, Projects of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN),Engr Muniru Adejare Abiola has assured travelers using Benin Airport that the runway resurfacing work currently going on would be completed soon.
Speaking when he paid an unscheduled visit to the airport, Engr Abiola expressed satisfaction at the success of the first phase of the project which involved laying of asphalt on the runway.
He also expressed optimism of a favourable weather to ensure timely completion of the asphalt laying, smoothening and remarking of the runway. He further assured the contractor handling the project that FAAN would do everything possible to ensure they are mobilized financially to execute the job.

The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Saleh Dunoma, an engineer, has reiterated the resolution of the Authority to ensure absolute compliance of all tanker drivers to the rules of engagement, as far as parking and operating around the airport environment is concerned.
He stated this recently in Lagos at an interactive forum with a team of journalists from the League of Airport and Aviation Correspondents.
