Bervidson seals pact with Turkish firm to expand W/African market

BERVIDSON International Limited, a training and consultancy group in West Africa and convener of the Retail Leaders Conferences, Nigeria has signed a global Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with a Turkish training and consultancy company, Mia Organizasyon Restorasyon Yayıncılık Ltd. Şti to drive the growth of retail businesses in the country.

   The purpose of the agreement is to define the basis for cooperation between Soysal and Bervidson in the area of business development promotions of both parties for consultancy services with the aim of expanding Turkish companies in Nigeria and other African countries. 

   The agreement also provides for Bervidson to link business interests in Nigeria and other West Africa countries with Turkey and Turkish businessmen who are interested in establishing business presence in Nigeria, and other African countries.

   Representative of both companies signed the MoU on behalf of their companies. Joseph Ebata, the Chief Executive Officer signed on behalf of Bervidson while  Suat Soysat, CEO of Mia Organizasyon Restorasyon Yayincilik Ltd. Sti, signed on behalf of his organisation.

   The Principle of the agreement will ensure that Bervidson will facilitate the process of engagement of Nigerian companies and senior individuals with Turkish companies seeking to establish their presence in retail and retail related industries in Nigeria and other African countries through partnership or franchising, as well as facilitate the process of direct investment of Turkish companies in retail and retail related industries in Nigeria and other African countries.

   Furthermore, Soysal will facilitate introduction of companies and senior individuals within the retail sector, through its long established network of retail and retail related industries, including shopping malls, retail suppliers, FMCG producers, clothes manufacturers, in Turkey to Bervidson.
