ISO certifies Mouka’s processes

The Director General, SON, Osita Aboloma, explained that the feat recorded by the company would help to increase its efficiency, profitability while also reducing operating costs.

Manufacturers of mattresses and pillows, Mouka Limited, has received the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) Integrated Management System (IMS) certification.

The Director General, SON, Osita Aboloma, explained that the feat recorded by the company would help to increase its efficiency, profitability while also reducing operating costs.

Aboloma during the presentation of the ISO certificate to Mouka Limited, however urged the company not to relent on its effort, but begin the process of attaining the latest Occupational Health and Safety Management System standards, ISO 45001:2018.

In his words, “Today we are celebrating the attainment of conformity to the requirements of ISO: 2015 Quality Management Systems (QMS) and 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System standards.”He said a virile manufacturing sector is critical for the growth of any nation, stating that the role of Mouka cannot be overemphasized,

He pointed out that the company is a key player in the core manufacturing sector, and has consistently demonstrated conformance to the IMS, which comprises of the quality, environmental and the occupational health and safety management system standard requirement.

“It shows your commitment to increase performance, employee and customer satisfaction as well as continual improvement,” he said.Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Raymond Murphy, said the company is the first in the foam sector to be certified on ISO IMS in Nigeria, stating that it is its confirmation to strict adherence to international standards, processes and endorsement of the company’s products quality.

The event also saw 10 brand new trucks presented to 10 of its outstanding distributors and the launch of its quality sleep, smarter kids’ campaign.The Commercial Director, Dimeji Osingunwa, said the trucks given to its distributors was part of its strategies to sustain the company’s leadership in the mattress industry while also increasing its distribution network and product delivery to its loyal and numerous customers across the country.
