Firm affirms commitment to financial inclusion, donates laptops

As part of efforts to promote financial inclusion among younger generation, Hantech Global, a fintech company has donated five laptops and a printer to ST &T Regency International School to train pupils on how to trade online.
  
The donation, according to the company, is part of its Corporate Social Responsibility poised to increase the knowledge of pupils on information technology.The Director, African Business, Hantech Global, Mike Fowope, said the motive behind this gesture was to inspire the kids for greatness.

The future of any generation is online and we are supporting this dream by giving them laptop.Speaking on the choice of school, he said the company needed to look for school within the locality of its business environment, saying: “We approach two to three schools that have the same value that the company represents. The kids are well mannered, disciplined.

“For any person to be successful, you have to be disciplined. That is one of the reasons why we chose the school. We have a lot in common.”He described the gesture as basically giving back to the society, adding that the company provided five laptops and an office jet printer, with also 100 pieces of mouse pads.
 
According to him, Hantech Global is an online fintech company that started 27 years ago in Hong Kong, which provide trading platform for people to trade in online currencies.  
 
The Head of School, ST &T Regency International, Mrs. Ngozi Nwadialo, said: “We feel privileged and humbled towards the donations. We know that there are several other schools. We appreciate the gesture and we are highly elated.“As an ICT oriented school, we know that the donation will go a long way in helping the school’s resource centre.”
