The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), made up of agents, who solicit, sell products for compensation, has joined numerous Nigerians in mourning the passage of Chief Rasheed Gbadamosi, a business icon and one time Federal Minister of National Planning.

In a statement, the President of the Council, Kayode Okunoren, noted that Late Gbadamosi touched the Nigerian economy significantly through his entrepreneurial spirit, part of which was evidenced by the founding of Ragolis Water factory, which revolutionised water preservation and marketing in the country.

Okunoren also extolled the deceased as a foremost conservationist, who spent a significant part of his life connecting the young and the old through arts and music.
Also, as a foundation member of the first Lagos State Executive Council, Federal Minister and Chairman of Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency, PPPRA, the late Gbadamosi etched his name as a foremost economist, playwright, art collector and public administrator.

“His exit has definitely created a void in the nation’s economy and society which would be sorely missed,” Okunoren stated.
Also, the President, Yoruba Indigenes Foundation (YIF), worldwide, Olumide Aderibole, in his condolences said Gbadamosi’s death has left a vacuum in the socio-cultural scene of the Yoruba race and in the industrial sector of the economy.
