NPA pledges to tackle challenges confronting Eastern ports

Speaking during his maiden visit and interactive session with NPA staff and other stakeholders in Eastern Ports, Bayero emphasized need for staff to work together as a team.

Bayero said: “I am here to boost the moral and encourage greater participation”.

In his welcome address, General Manager, Eastern Ports, Obuneme Onuenyenwa commended effort by the management to embark on general expansion as part of measures to make the port accessible to customers.

He said: “We are brainstorming every time in making sure that we do not wait for business to come to us. Rather, we go to the source of the to meet with our customers and potential customers”.

Also speaking at the event, NPA’s Executive Director in charge of Marine and Operations, David Omonibeke, said that the authority was aware of various challenges confronting stakeholders at Easter Ports.

He assured the stakeholders of management commitment to tackle identified challenges in partnership with all stakeholders.
