‘If We Embrace Easter Message, This World Will Be A Better Place’
But we have core values that cannot be compromised. These include the fact that salvation comes only through Jesus Christ, the sanctity of marriage, which should only be between a man and a woman. We believe also that there is only one true God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe in PFN that all men born into this world are sinners and have fallen short of God’s glory, hence the necessity for repentance and faith in the finished work of Christ. We believe in the eternal future. Our focus is on the essentials.
God Has Proven He Is Indeed A Nigerian
After all, God has assured us that: My word that goes out from my mouth will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. (Is. 55:11). However, we must know that God is not a magician, who must pander to and please his customer by fulfilling his/her will so he/she will come back. Answered prayers must always align with the will of God.
Muoka Tells Congregation To Have Faith
THE General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, has said that Christ’s coming into the world has brought peace and God’s blessing to mankind.
Can Anything Good Come Out Of Nazareth?
‘Philip findeth Nathaniel, and saith unto him, We have found Him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. And Nathaniel said unto him, Could any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see. Jesus saw Nathaniel coming to Him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile.’ Jh 1v 45-47.
By This Time Tomorrow
THERE is an imminent solution coming your way right now! As you digest this timely message, expect the power of God to bring about a new dawn in your life. You will agree with me that these are very trying times. Individuals, groups, corporations and nations are really struggling, amongst other problems, to get out of economic, political and security challenges. Some of these problems have also proved unsolvable and protracted, defying all known human solutions. Today, our economic and political lexicons have been over-stretched to accommodate news jargons and coinages that have been used while trying to explain, interpret and proffer solutions to these global problems. Today, an ordinary man on the street can virtually give lectures on these subjects - economic reform, austerity measure, bail out, money market, conflict resolution, security, intelligence, etc. This is made possible through the quantum of discussions, talk shows, workshops, symposia and conferences that are convened daily to find solutions to all these problems. But have we succeeded? NO!
The Bitter Pool (1)
IN Exodus 15:22-23, we see the children of Israel complaining against Moses after their great deliverance from the hands of their enemies, the Egyptians. The Lord brought them into the wilderness and they went three days without finding water. When they finally arrived at Marah, they found water, but could not drink it because it was bitter. So, they began to complain to Moses about what they would drink. They forgot the miracle they just encountered three days before; they had been praising and dancing to God, but now that they were thirsty and could only find bitter water, they began to grumble and complain.
Watch Out For False Prophets (1)
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” Most sheep can easily be deceived into accepting any hireling wearing sheep’s clothing. Most believers may be impressed by the outward qualities and characteristics of false prophets and false teachers, if they look no farther than external manifestations. Our process of admitting workers, leaders and preachers into the ministry must go beyond the evaluation of “sheep’s clothing,” which human skill can make and wear. What the prospective workers and preachers are “inwardly” is more important than all impressive outward qualities
Why Restitution Message Has Taken Back Seat, By Clerics
Prior to this time, those who wholeheartedly embraced Christianity after repentance or being ‘born again’ never toyed with the aspect of restitution. While there were reports of some people rushing back to their former schools to restore stolen books and such other items, others went physically to those they had secretly offended or harmed in the past to apologise and ask for forgiveness. And those that married more than one wife sent the surplus packing. Today, however, this aspect of Christianity is not so prominent. Indeed, many preachers no longer bother the adherents with such message any more. The vogue now is to focus on prosperity message. But if restitution is biblical and considered critical to the genuineness of one’s spiritual state, why is it being gradually eroded from sermons? Clerics that spoke to CHRIS IREKAMBA on the issue attribute the development to the shift from salvation and piety to prosperity.
Stages Of Faith In God
Divine and personal encounter is the starting point of faith in God. According to the Bible, every individual that placed his/her faith in God arrived there because of a peculiar experience with God.
