Future Energy Nigeria continues in Lagos today

Ato Gyasi, Senior Director (Power), African Finance Corporation, Nigeria spoke on key consideration for financing renewable energy projects such as application of the Blockchain.

Acting Special Assistant (Energy)to the Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) EBIPERE CLARK; Chief Executive Officer (CEO) GreenEcho, South Africa, Darlington Ubek and Partner, BlockChain Asset Management, Nigeria, Deji Soetan at the Pre-Conference Master Class of Future Energy Nigeria at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria island, Lagos, Yesterday.

The Future Energy Nigeria started yesterday with a conference called the Master Class.Issues for deliberation include: what are financiers looking for when funding a renewable energy project; what is the financial and technical experience needed, what growth projections are desired and how do you present a tested and cash flow? All these where discussed.

He remarked: “Future Energy Nigeria is holding in collaboration with Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing .The event aligns with power sector recovery programme of the Federal Government by attracting required investment to bridge the huge deficit of electricity from the private sector and promoting development opportunities across the country.

“Therefore, Future Energy Nigeria invites you to participate actively in the discussion that will focus on practical issues surrounding financing power transformation, diversifying the energy mix closing the metering gap and increasing performance standards, among other topics. Future Energy Nigeria will allow you to take another step in power sector reform and enabling environment to accelerate the growth and prosperity of Nigeria.
