Lumos supports Nigerian Army’s quest for innovative solutions with solar system

As part of its commitment to Nigeria as a whole, and in impacting communities in which it does business, Lumos, Nigeria’s foremost solar power and off-grid solar home systems provider and pioneers of Mobile Electricity Service in Nigeria, has donated 100 units of customized Solar Powered Systems to the Nigerian Army. The presentation, which took place at the Monguno Army Barracks, Borno State, was part of activities to mark the 2018 Nigerian Army day celebrations.
  
Speaking at the event, Ojoma Okotie, Sales Director, Lumos Nigeria, said, “today, we are proud to show our support for the men and women of the Nigerian Army through the donation of the fully functional systems; we hope that it will contribute in whatever small way to the operational effectiveness of our troops in different theatres of operations”.
  
Speaking on behalf of Chief Executive Officer of Lumos Nigeria, Houssam Azem,  she pointed out the obvious synergies between the Lumos Mobile electricity service and the mobility of a modern fighting force, such as the Nigerian army: “As a highly mobile and proficient force, we are excited that the noiseless, smokeless and solar powered systems could become part and parcel of the Nigerian Army deployment kit going forward”, this is part of our ongoing Social investments into the communities where we do business, what better way to flag this off than by supporting our troops” said he.
