2016 Nigerian legal awards will focus on younger lawyers

Publisher of Esq Legal Practice Magazine and convener of the Nigerian Legal Award, Lere Fashola has stated that this year’s legal award will focus on young lawyers who are under 40 years and making significant contributions to the growth of the legal profession, business and economy.

Fashola stated this during a briefing on the focus of the fourth edition of the legal award slated for October 7th, 2016. According to him, the fourth edition of the award  is simply a bridge between economy and law.

“Since is maiden edition, NLA has expanded in focus, scope and fanfare with the introduction of the ’40 under 40 category. The awards has opened a novel chapter in the life of the country, especially, by organizing a unique platform committed to celebrating impactful and value added young lawyers  who are cutting their teeth in the profession,” he said.

He also stated that the event would provide a platform to discuss and proffer solution to the economic recovery of the country on the theme: ‘Restructuring Vs Rebuilding: Bringing life back to the Nigeria economy.’

His words: “A value added and solution –proffering panel of discussion has been organized to bring together professionals, experts and economic regulators to brainstorm on chatting a new course for the economic recovery of Nigeria”.
