Abia indigenes in North America boost medical supplies

Large consignments of medical supplies that would boost medicare delivery to the Abia citizenry are now en-route to the state from Atlanta United States (U.S.) from where they were procured.

President of Abia State National Association of North America (ASNA-NA), Dr. Chris Ike, told The Guardian, after he and some members of ASNA-NA inspected and witnessed the loading of one of the ten Container Loads of the supplies at the supplier-company called Medshare Company based in Atlanta.

Ike said that the procurement of the supplies was effected after the state governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu visited Medshare in company of ASANA – NA members last year when he (the governor), attended the 2015 ASNA-NA 2015 national convention in Atlanta.

The pharmacist said that the loaded container departed Atlanta on Friday and commended Governor Ikpeazu for delivering on his promise to ship container Loads of medical supplies from Atlanta to Abia State to be used to upgrade and equip Abia hospitals.

He said: “The governor made the commitment during the last Abia State National Association of North America’s Convention held in Atlanta during which he attended an Economic Summit where he met with the business community and captains of industries and also toured Medshare, a medical supply company”.

Accordingly to Ike, “due to the governor’s dogged commitment and determination, the first of the many container loads of medical supplies left Medshare Atlanta yesterday (Friday) after a cross section of Abians in Atlanta were on hand to observe the loading.”

The Guardian had reported both the said governor’s visit to Medshare and his attendance at the said ASNA- NA 2015 Convention from Atlanta.
