Abia raises CBN loan for farmers, signs agreement

Abia state government said it has secured one billion naira repayable agricultural loan from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for disbursement to genuine farmers in the State.

Abia state government said it has secured one billion naira repayable agricultural loan from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for disbursement to genuine farmers in the State.

State Information Commissioner, Comrade Bonnie Iwuoha, who announced this told the media the decisions taken  at the state executive council meeting said the loan will propel youth employment, food production and economic empowerment.

Also the state Finance Commissioner, Mr. Obinna Oriaku said the state government, on March 1 2016 at Abuja , signed  a tripartite agreement with the CBN and Development Partners for establishment of CBN Entrepreneurial Centre for the South East Zone in Umuahia.
