ADVAN inaugurates working committees

The Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) recently inaugurated members of its working committees to be the engine room for the association’s programmes for the next two years.

The Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) recently inaugurated members of its working committees to be the engine room for the association’s programmes for the next two years. The committees include Public Sector, Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy, Membership and Value, Data, Insight and Content and Education, and Capacity Building.

While speaking on the agenda for the committees, first Vice President of ADVAN, Mr. Wasiu Abiola, said the committees would drive the association’s agenda of creating an empowered future in marketing communications (marcomms) today for advertisers and the industry as a whole.

“The committees will work with the Executive Council of the association to provide and implement strategies for increased membership value, strategic stakeholder engagement, as well as source for the most relevant data to aid effective marketing planning,” he said.

Chairperson for the Education and Capacity Development Committee, Mr. Benson Evbuomwan, also said, “A key focus for my committee will be to provide needed education for marketing professionals not just in the marcomms field, but rather a holistic capacity development approach that will help ADVAN members garner the right skills to function in any capacity of a C-level Executive and even beyond.”

Other members include Mrs. Bridget Oyefeso-Odusami, Mrs. Nnenna Osi-Anugwa, Mrs. Roseline Akure Abaraonye, Mr. Rotimi Oyesiji, Mr. Kola Oni, Mr. Onome Asagbra, Mr. Omotunde Adenusi, Ify Kagho, Mr. Gerald Osugo, Mr. Austin Osokpor, Mr. Adeola Oluwatobi, Nwando Ajene, Tolulope Adedeji, Mr. Bayo Adekanmbi , Mr. Abiona Babarinde, Mr. Tahir Mohammed among others.
