Delta State is safe in Okowa’s hands

THE politics of Delta State is such that demands continuity and making progress. The government of Governor Emmanuel Eweta Uduagha has, by and large, performed creditably judging from the projects handled by that administration in its eight years of governance. It is in the same token that some school of thought could say that given all the resources at the government’s disposal it has not performed enough. However, it must be stated or seen from different perspective that governance is not as easy as some people may want to show or display.
      
In view of the following, the man who must take over from Governor Uduagha must be a man who knows the nitty-gritty of what it takes to govern a state like Delta State. Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa has been a man with vast experience and knowledge in the political gambits having served at various positions in the previous dispensations. As a onetime Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Delta State, it is clear that he will not be a stranger in Government House Asaba come April 11, 2015 governorship polls. Therefore, there is no fear that Senator Dr Arthur Okowa is the right candidate for the seat. In a democratic dispensation every person can aspire to any political position if qualified to do so as enshrined in our 1999 constitution as amended and also if he has fulfilled all requirements of the Electoral laws as outlined by INEC.
     
The election of senator, Dr Arthur Okowa and his able Deputy Barrister Kingsley Otuaro will give Delta State the dynamic and pragmatic leadership that Deltans deserve. Governance is a continuum and Delta State does not have room for a trainee or Apprentice Governorship Candidate, as the state is that with a large heart. Delta State is so richly deserving a governor who knows what to do in a complex homogeneous state which we all know needs an able and safe hand. Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa and Barrister Kingsley Otuaro possess the safe hands that will guide the state to its promised goal to attain economic growth, peaceful co-existence, transformation and progress beyond oil.
   
One of the attributes of Dr Okowa is the ability to relate with all facets of people of different ages especially youths and mothers. These have been the qualities that have been guiding him as he marches on the ladder of ascendency to the top. Deltans are enjoined to close ranks and vote massively for Senator Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa and his able Deputy Barrister Kingsley Otuaro of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
