Firm kicks off 2017 Ribena back to school promo

To help alleviate the burden of fees payment by parents and contribute its quota to the education of the Nigerian child, Suntory Beverage and Food Nigeria Limited, has launched the 2017 back to school promo with Ribena and Lucozade boost.

Speaking during the launch, Managing Director of the firm, Mr. Chinedum Okereke, said the company is not deterred by the economic hardship, saying it will through its Ribena brand give out scholarship worth a N100, 000 each to lucky families that will participate in the promo exercise.

Identifying the promo, which is in its second season as an avenue to reach out to all consumers nationwide and give back to the society, he said, “Our investment in the Nigerian child is a direct result of our unwavering commitment to promoting quality child education, and reducing the financial pressures from the rising cost of children’s education, through this cash scholarship. This promo embodies Ribena’s motto of Goodness made fun, as we strive to make the high-pressure, back-to-school period more fun for children and parents.

Senior Brand Manager, Ribena, Mr. Essien Ekemini, explained that the promo, which is ongoing, is valid while stock lasts. “To enjoy this offer, new and existing consumers are expected to purchase a promo carton of 150ml Ribena or Lucozade; search the carton for the ‘Berry card’, scratch the silver strip behind the card to reveal an entry code, and text this code and their first name to 20966 for verification and redemption. Consumers are encouraged to retain their cards as it will be required for post verification.”

Marketing Manager, Lucozade, Mr. Yusuf Murtala said, “the arrival of a new school year puts a lot of financial pressure on parents and the ‘Ribena Back-to-School Scholarship promo’ is borne out of our desire to support kids and allow them resume school with utmost excitement. We believe the cash scholarships will go a long way in ensuring that they are fully ready for the new academic session.”
