Ahmadiyya Honours Mallam Yusuf Ali

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria has honoured a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mallam Yusuf Alli for his selfless contribution to ensure peace in Nigeria.The 3rd National Peace award was bestowed on Mallam Ali at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, represented by a lawyer in his chamber.

Representative the Awardee, Counsel Yusuf Olaolu &Co. (SAN), Mr. Abdul Rasheed Usman, Esq; Missionary-in-Charge Ahmadiyya in Nigeria, Maulvi Afzaal Ahmad Rauf; The Amir, Ahmadiya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria, Dr. Mash’hud Adenrele Fashola and Naib Amir Northern Region, Dr. Yaqeen Habeeb, during the sixth Northern Jalsa Tarbiya and third National Peace Symposium in Abuja.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria has honoured a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mallam Yusuf Alli for his selfless contribution to ensure peace in Nigeria.The 3rd National Peace award was bestowed on Mallam Ali at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, represented by a lawyer in his chamber. The event brought together dignitaries from all works of life had all Leaders of various religious groups in Nigeria agreeing that equality and tolerance are vital keys that could foster peace.

Special guest of honour at the award ceremony, the Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo who was represented by Special Senior Adviser on Social Investment Programme, Barrister Ismail Ahmed urged religious leaders to promote peace in their sermons to the adherents for positive change. He reinstated government’s commitment in ensuring justice and equality in discharging its role to its citizens.The three day programme featured a National Peace Award, Peace related lectures from all religions moderated by the Director News Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Aliyu Baba Barau Mallam.

The theme of the National Peace symposium was Justice and National Peace: The Role of Religion. Three lead papers were presented at the National educational and training conference. The first paper titled ’The Objective of the Advent of the Promised Messiah and Imam Mahdi by Missionary Lukman Shoretire. The second paper was Khilafat in Islam; Reformation and Source of World Peace by Barrister Bashirudeen BADR Muhammed, while the third paper was entitled Importance of Obedience to Khilafat Ahmadiyya and Nisaam-i-Jamaat by Barrister Abdul Qadeer Mustapha.

A health talk on managing the Old Age was delivered by Dr Ahmad Mudassar of Ahmadiyya hospital Kano. Special night prayers session –Tahajjud was held for peace and National development of Nigeria and Nigerians as a whole.Dignitaries at the event were taken around the exhibition, by the Amir Sahib (National Head) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Dr Mashu’ud Adenrele Fasola.
