Govt criticism and Boko Haram menace
OWING to the terrorism problem mostly in the northern part of the country caused by the inhuman group called Boko Haram, all well-meaning and patriotic Nigerians, irrespective of their ethnic, political or religious backgrounds should support the government in the ongoing war against terrorism by positively encouraging the federal troopes instead of criticising them. They should also stop any form of public distraction to the federal government such as political strike of any kind and various forms of protest via the media which could cause setback to the fight against terrorism with it resultant effects hitting every Nigerian.
We must know that our brothers and sisters (military personnel) presently in the troubled region are being killed while trying to protect lives and property of Nigerians and Nigeria‘s unity as an entity from the heartless animals in human clothing called Boko Haram. May all the dead soldiers rest in peace.
In view of this, all patriotic Nigerians should be cautious, conscious and optimistic in this fight which should not be left for the federal government alone. Moreso, all levels of government, political parties and non-governmental organizations should help in this fight against terrorism positively via reporting the situation on ground correctly because there is power in the pen, instead of trading blames based on selfish political, ethnic or religious interest to the detriment of other Nigerians and Nigeria’s image.
The hoodlums are not only waging war on the Peoples Democratic Party or our humble President of Federal Republic of Nigeria but on every meaningful and patriotic citizen, irrespective of our religious and ethnic background or political parties. Therefore, we all should realize that our common enemy is Boko Haram and should support the government positively in this fight by words of encouragement and most importantly through prayers.
Let us stop destructive criticism because failure of Mr. President or the ruling party in this fight against terrorism is failure of every Nigerian. Support the federal government in this fight and say NO to Boko-Haram, its political sympathisers/allies’sponsors. Say NO to terrorism.
