Hamptom Prep School berths in Nigeria, harps on quality learning

As part of efforts to boost the nation’s education standard, some educationists based in the United Kingdom (UK) have established a branch of its foreign schools, Hampton Preparatory School in Lagos with a pledge to ensure quality learning.

“Our aim is to nurture and support all abilities, helping every child to achieve her potential in all areas of learning – intellectually, emotionally, physically, socially, morally, spiritually and culturally,”

As part of efforts to boost the nation’s education standard, some educationists based in the United Kingdom (UK) have established a branch of its foreign schools, Hampton Preparatory School in Lagos with a pledge to ensure quality learning.

The educationists, who have spent over 20 years running chains of schools and training centre in the UK, officially announced the opening of Hampton, saying the it was established to address the vexed issue of lack of quality curriculum in the nation’s schools, which is essential for the academic growth and development of every child.

The Proprietress of Hampton Schools, who is also the Director, Alphabet House Group of Nursery Schools and Alpha Training Schools, UK, Mrs. Kemi Balogun said the new addition was aimed at providing a strong British curriculum, while incorporating a good understanding of Nigerian history and culture, as well as an inspirational environment which fosters a passion for learning, creativity, investigation and achievement to prepare the children for the next stages of their education and life beyond their classrooms.

“Our aim is to nurture and support all abilities, helping every child to achieve her potential in all areas of learning – intellectually, emotionally, physically, socially, morally, spiritually and culturally,” she said.

On her part, the Co-Proprietress and Director of Kiddie Care Group of Nursery Schools, UK, Mrs. Linda Adeyemi-Hastrup explained that the school curriculum is centred on the core skills of literacy, numeracy, sciences and humanities at an early age, which includes specialty teaching in French, Spanish and Mandarin, and a strong emphasis on music, arts and innovation.

She added that each child would be equipped with life skills, which will form an integral part of their learning journey.
