*As Reliance HMO launches new scheme

Experts have harped on the adoption of a functional health insurance scheme as key to addressing challenges faced by the health sector.Chief Executive Officer, Reliance HMO, Funlola Jide-Aribaloye, said accessible and affordable insurance package is germane to boost the nation’s healthcare and cushion the burden of obtaining quality medical service.

She added that Reliance Health Management Organisation (HMO), which is a Nigerian-based health insurance company has improved its operations using technology to ensure an accessible, affordable, and reliable healthcare provision for its clients.

Jide-Aribaloye, during a press parley and launch of the new health insurance package added that the insurance firm is committed to this course by providing enrolee a monthly subscription, which is not obtainable in other HMOs.This, she said is in line with people’s need for a workable health insurance plans, affordable payment structures and excellent customer service.

Chief Product Officer, Dr. Femi Kuti decried that there are few insurance in Nigeria compared to other countries, and this increases health issues in the country. Kuti added that the financial burden of accessing healthcare in the country is alarming and only three per cent of Nigerians are covered in the health insurance.
