Power Oil, Ondo, partner for health outreach

The Power Oil health camp initiative has extended its reach into the Sunshine state, Ondo, offering its medical outreach to the indigenes, with the support of the state’s Ministry of Health.

This occurred during the week in the heart of Isinkan Market, and was graced by key representatives from the market committee and the Ministry of Health.The camp, which is now active in 15 locations across Nigeria including Ondo State, offered free basic medical health check up to indigenes in the area of BMI check, blood pressure and free medical consultation. The camp would move from one local government area to another, ensuring that everyone benefits from the project.

Amisha Chawla, Brand Manager, Power Oil said, lauded the rate at which the initiative is spreading across the country. “At the end of 2016, the project was present in nine locations and before the end of the second quarter of 2017 we have grown to 14 camps in 13 locations in Nigeria. It should also be noted that the long term plan is to cover the entire nation, promote good eating habits and ultimately healthy lifestyle amongst Nigerians,” she said.

The Director, Hospital Services, Ondo State Ministry of Health, Dr. Akinsete Olayinka, assured of their willingness to provide necessary support to ensure everyone in the state benefits from the initiative.

The market head (Iya-Oloja) of Isinkan Market, Chief Mrs. Bolarinwa, who was visibly elated, expressed gratitude while commending the team for the impact being made in the lives of Nigerians.
