Igbinedion varsity unveils new governing council, tasks members on entrepreneurial development
The Chancellor, Igbinedion University, Okada, Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, has constituted the 5th governing council of the institution.
He charged the members to improve on the gains of previous councils, and further take the school’s development to another level.
The former Edo State Governor, Lucky Igbinedion, who is also the Deputy Chancellor of the university, represented Igbinedion, who is the Chairman, Board of Regents of the institution.
He said: “Upon your inauguration toady, it is my expectation that you will develop an elaborate and implementable strategic action policy, and boldly interface with all the necessary and relevant people and institutions on behalf of the university. This is needed to make the university greater than you have met it.”
Igbinedion canvassed collaboration between the Governing Council and the management team, under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Eghosa Osaghae.
He tasked the council to pursue the school’s prime philosophy, vision and mission.
