Delta donates books to DELSU Law Faculty

IN its avowed commitment to promote learning and uplift the standard of education in Delta State to a greater height, the Delta State Government has donated several Law books and texts to the Law Faculty of the state owned Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU).

    The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Charles Ajuyah, SAN who presented the books on behalf of government to the Provost of the Delta State University, Oleh Campus said the gesture was part of the State Government’s commitment in promoting quality teaching and learning in its tertiary Institutions across the State.

    He expressed optimism that the books which are vital learning materials, will not only promote research amongst students and Lecturers, to expand the frontiers of knowledge, but it will also contribute in building their character.

    Ajuyah stated that the State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan approved the donation of the books which include complete sets of up to date landmark judgments of the Supreme Court, current Volumes of Laws of the Federation amongst other Law books because of the high premium he places on education as the bedrock of any developed and advanced nation.
