Pay TV rewards lucky subscribers

Pay TV company, StarTimes, has rewarded 10 subscribers from its online quiz competition, ‘Ileya Watch and Win Promotion’ which ran on ST Yoruba Channel between August 1 and 15 with N500,000. Participants were expected to answer the only question correctly online. 10 lucky subscribers emerged winners and took N50,000.00 each.

The ST Yoruba watch and win promo, which focused on the Ilaro, Ogun State-born female star actress, Jaiye Kuti had thousands of entries from across the country.

While speaking on the promotion, Brand and Marketing Director, StarTimes, Qasim Elegbede, said it was informed by the need to reward loyal subscribers and viewers of StarTimes and ST Yoruba, especially during the Ileya period. He said the online quiz competition was developed from movies, which the Yoruba actress featured prominently.

An elated winner, Damilola Ayodeji, who could not hold back her joy, expressed gratitude to ST Yoruba and StarTimes. In her words, “This is the first time in my entire life to win a prize from any company. I feel so special because of this and my love for StarTimes and ST Yoruba just doubled.”

Another winner, Muhmeen Taiwo, said, “I didn’t think I could ever win N50,000 from any company. In fact, I still think I’m dreaming, but I want the world to know it’s for real. StarTimes is for real and thanks to ST Yoruba for introducing such initiative to engage with viewers.”
