Bayelsa-born Helen Peikumo Dickson recently graduated from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom with a First Class in Sociology, with specialism in Race and Global Politics.

She hopes to contribute to policy developments and projects that would make Africans major player in global politics.

“I believe that Africa as a continent is the next frontier for economic growth of the world and for us to be able to negotiate a good deal for the continent, we need to understand the dynamics of global politics.”

Dickson urged young people to be actively involved in the process of developing policies that affect them economically and politically, adding that education is the only pathway to achieving this.

“I will also encourage young people to use their time wisely. We need to get up and chase our dreams as we are the future leaders of this country,” she added.
