The 10th Poster award of the Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) has been slated for June 30, 2016, at the Eko Hotel and Suites, with the theme, ‘Strengthening Partnership’.

On the plans for this year outing, the Award Committee chairman, Mr. Ladi Sole maintained that the award remains a big pride to the association, especially as it has continued to evolve with great insights and innovation.

“This is because it not only shows the association appreciation of creativity in the industry but creates a forum where stakeholders in marketing communication and other workers of life meet to interact in an atmosphere of relaxation, beauty and splendour.”

He said that there is no alteration in the categories though there is a new category. He, therefore, encouraged the creative and buying agencies to seize the opportunity to make their landmark in the number of entries submitted.

Sole noted that besides, the fact that the award would be exciting; the new category was introduced to offer opportunity to another critical stakeholder in the marketing communication business to be appreciated.

He said “We have introduced a new category called ‘Regulatory Agency of the year’ to bring on board those who have helped develop the industry. This is to show appreciation for the role government agencies play in our industry”.

He disclosed that the keynote address at the award would be delivered Mr. Biodun Shobanjo, titled ‘Indices of a vibrant economy: Outdoor Advertising, a catalyst for growth’. He said that to ensure the independence of the award and further boost its credibility, the event would be solely funded by the association.
