All is set for the grand finale of the 15th edition of biennial Quran memorization competition slated for Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the University of Lagos Main Auditorium.

The theme of his year Quran competition is ‘Hope for the hopeless’.

Amir (President), Lagos State Area Unit of Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) Dr. Saheed Ashafa, said the competition attracted interest from over 250 participants. 54 reciters would compete in the grand finale and 18 would emerge as winners.

He said, the competition is held in honour of Late Alhaji AbdulLateef Adegbite, the pioneer President of the MSSN, who died about six years ago.

The Chief Host of the event is the Deputy Governor, Lagos State, Idiat Oluranti Adebule. The competition will be chaired by the Managing Director\ CEO, BUA Group, Alhaji Abdus Samad Rabiu. Keynote Speaker, is Commissioner for Home Affairs, Dr. Abdulhakeem Abdulateef. Guest Lecturer, Chief Executive Officer, Basmalah Institute for Teaching Quran & Islam (Ireland, UK)

Spiritual Father of the day: Chief Imam of Lagos Alhaji Sulaimon Abou Nollah. Special Guest of Honour Executive Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosu.

Other guests expected to grace the occasion are: Executive Director, Zakat & Sadaqat Foundation, Prince Sulayman Olagunju, Chief Executive Officer, Jaiz Zakat & Waqf Trust Fund, Maitama, Imam Abdullah Shuaib, Managing Director Hajj Mabrur Ventures, Alhaji Abdulhameed Solate and Partner, KPMG, Ayo Salami among others.
