Research Promoters on African Medicinal Herbs and Plant (REPAMP) has urged the continent to embrace herbal medicine as it introduces a new product.

One of the company’s representatives in Nigeria, Herbal Dr Collins Paul, said in an interview with The Guardian that the company, which was established by some Nigerians and Cameroonians, tackles health issues, which will eventually make Africans appreciate nature once again through their products.

REPAMP came to existence as a result of interest in herbal medicine by the founders. Initially, it was only an idea.

‘I am from Cross River and while growing up, I admired a man from Obudu, Cross River who could cure everything except Human Immune Deficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and other herbalists in my hometown.

This made me develop interest for herbal medicine at an early age. When I met with my Cameroonian friends who have the same view on herbal medicine, we decided to get to work. That was how this concept came to be’ he said.

According to him, REPAMP, which has existed for over 10 years, has been going to different states, organizing seminars and giving free treatment, especially for eye problems to people and there have been positive results.

In order to reach and satisfy a larger number of people, a product called ‘Anti biotique’ was produced.

This product which is made from the combination of yohimbe, cassia, ginseng and moringa cures health challenges such as infections, fast ejaculation in men, waist pain and the likes. This product, which is purgative, also cleanses the entire human system.

‘A lot of people, including a Guardian newspaper editor’s mother has used this product and were cured’ he said.

‘In one of my seminars in Lagos, an editor of Guardian newspaper got this product for his mother who was suffering from waist pain. I also recommended sidar acuta, which is also effective for waist pain. She became well after taking the product’ he added.

REPAMP is at the stage of advertising ‘Anti biotique’ through seminars in different states of Nigeria.
