The 2016 window has now been opened for human resources professionals in Nigeria to apply and prepare for the mid-year examination, which will lead to the globally-recognised Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) certifications. SHRM is the world’s largest human resources practitioners’ body.

Speaking during a media briefing in Lagos, General Manager of Skills Farm (SHRM’s training partner in Nigeria), Isoken Okusami, said human resources practitioners who desire to meet the ever-increasing demand of the world’s top businesses, for the renowned competency-based certification by SHRM, can now register for preparatory classes for the examinations holding from May to mid-July 2016.

SHRM has for years, through its much respected and globally valued human resources certifications, advanced the practice to aid businesses and enrich the careers of human resources practitioners. Consequently, it established two competency-based certifications, the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) for early and mid-career professionals, and the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) for senior-level practitioners. These two certifications are anchored on SHRM Body of Competency and Knowledge (SHRM BoCK).

According to Okusami, the prep class sessions for the examinations will hold in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt for the convenience of practitioners based across the country.
