Talking African Traditional Media at PR Forum in Canada

A member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and former Vice Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the Institute, Mr. Kunle Ogedengbe is to deliver a paper on African Traditional Media and Communication Strategies at the 2016 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) in Toronto Canada on Monday, May 30.

The paper which is very apt with the theme of the forum: Communication Across Culture examines the pre-colonial communication media in Africa and the strategies which are needed for effective communication in the continent today.

The event, which will hold at The Westin Harbour Castle at Habour Square in Toronto, Ontario, draws participants from all over the world and will feature three evening events, six keynote speakers, and more than 30 workshop, panel and research presentations including Ogedengbe’s African Traditional Media and Communication Strategies.

The paper, which represents the 54 countries in Africa at the world forum, is a contribution in line with the focus of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management in the world whose flagship event is the bi-annual WPRF that is being hosted by the Canadian Public Relations Society this year.
