In a bid to boost research, Elizade University (EU) Ilara-Mokin, Ondo state has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife on staff and student exchange, training and collaborative research endeavor.

Vice chancellor, Obafemi Awolowo University, Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede, said the partnership would enable the two institutions to compare notes with a view to finding areas of complementing each other.

The Professor of Dentistry who warned older universities to sit up to avoid being upstaged by some private universities, stated that Elizade University is well positioned to make meaningful contributions to the development of the country.

He added that OAU is selective in its choice of partnership and it would also benefit immensely from a fast growing private university like Elizade University.

“Elizade University has distinguished itself with detailed curricula and practical-oriented teaching. OAU is always selective in its choice of partners, and we are delighted to partner with the foremost private institution because an old university like OAU could also benefit immensely from a fast growing private university like Elizade University.

While hoping that the relationship would be mutually beneficial, Prof. Ogunbodede said that the partnership would enable the two institutions to compare notes with a view to finding areas of completion.
