Nigeria educationThe West African Students Union (WASU) has honoured the Chief Medical Director, St Raphael Hospital, Okota Lagos, Dr. Anthony Omolola, with West Africa Best Personality of the year award for his contributions toward youth development and human capital development in the sub region. 

The award which was presented at the medical facility in Okota Lagos, on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, was bestowed on Oomolola by the leadership of the students’ union headed by the president, Diplomat Oluwafemi Williams; the Deputy Senate President, Diplomat Joel Edem; Secretary-General, Diplomat Mensah Kweku and Director of External Relations and Public Affairs, Comrade Oyejobi Olakunle.

Williams in his speech titled: ‘Re-Awakening Our Concsiousness As Africa Next Generation’, explained that students’ body honours deserving members of the public who contributes towards youth and human capital development in the sub region. 

He described Dr Omolola as an individual that understand and embodies the core values and aspirations of the youths, particularly the students, and stressed that the youths are the most active and vital force of the society, stressing that they are the most eager to learn and the least conservative in their thinking.
