9to5chick partners Google Nigeria for power breakfast seminar

Nineto5chick, a premier career development platform dedicated to equipping professional women with the skills to thrive in the workplace, partnered with tech giant, Google Nigeria, to empower women in Nigeria’s workforce.

The empowerment event, which took the form of an intimate Power Breakfast with top Google Nigeria female executives Juliet Ehimuan-Chiazor and Affiong Osuchukwu Country Director and Country Marketing Manager, Google Nigeria respectively, held on October 27, 2017.

The Power Breakfast is the second instalment in the 9to5chick plethora of savvy career seminars for today’s working woman the first of which was launched with Aisha Ahmad, now Deputy Governor CBN as speaker in August. Participants at the joint seminar included professional women in mid management level of their careers with representations from various sectors including technology, government, banking, energy, oil and gas, real estate among others.

Key learning outcomes from the seminar included the need and importance for women to take greater ownership of their careers and become more deliberate in their career development decisions. Through sharing their respective career journeys, the Google Nigeria female Executives Juliet Ehimuen and Affiong Osuchukwu were able to distil clear tools and pathways participants may use to navigate their respective career development decisions.

The Power Breakfast also afforded participants the opportunity to network and connect with other female professionals within and across their respective sectors, including other Google Nigeria female leaders, as well as share details on career challenges and receive feedback from peers and established female career leaders.

Participants also remarked on the several learning outcomes afforded by the meeting and applauded 9to5chick and Google Nigeria for creating the opportunity for female professionals to learn from established career leaders and their peers.
