Just when you think a fashion item is dead and buried, like a Phoenix, it rises again and becomes a trend when you least expect it. So many examples come to mind, from flared jeans to boot cut jeans, to skinny jeans, cropped tops and so on, fashion and trends are ageless and usually recycled.

The cold shoulder trend is a blast from the past and is the new cleavage. Spotted on several celebrities and everyday users already, it has already been incorporated into aso ebi styles and even office attires.

This style is fun, subtly sexy and conservative without feeling contrived and the good news is that it cuts across all ages and sizes. The cold shoulder style comes in tops, shirts and or dresses; they have the shoulder part cut off which leaves your shoulder and upper arms bare and demurely exposed, thus the name “cold shoulder”.

Amazingly, you can pair it with whatever piece you already own (for tops and shirts) or simply wear it like that (for shift dresses and maxi gowns). Sensually feminine, it is perfect for either a casual night on the town or going to the office.

Since the shoulders are exposed, a scarf draping or statement jewellery is a perfect complement to this piece.
