The Founder of the Yield Leadership Initiative (YLI) Ogaga Umukoro, recently launched her very inspiring and value-adding book titled: Play and Learn Series: Sudoku Puzzle in Nigeria at a Sudoku Party in Lagos.

The Sudoku Party started with introductions and a worship session, followed by a learn puzzle to teach those that were not familiar with Sudoku how to solve the puzzle. After this, attendees played a puzzle together, which was still beginner friendly. To end the puzzle session, they had a Sudoku challenge where they were put to series of challenges on sudoku puzzle to test their understanding of the game. Three Sudoku Champions completed the puzzles in record time.

Ogaga explained the purpose of the book, noting that it was an avenue to teach life lessons via games hence the title: Play and Learn Series.

Ogaga brought out lessons to be learnt from the sudoku puzzle. One of the three lessons was about being unique. Just as the game involves filling the numbers 1 to 9 along rows and across columns and in grids without repeating numbers, God also creates us uniquely. “We should not compare ourselves and our progress with others because each of us have been given talents by God according to our ability. Hence, work at being the best you,” she said.
