What is the significance of the yearly award?
The Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award is a yearly event that is aimed at celebrating individuals and organisations that have contributed to the development of the healthcare sector through innovative, efficient and qualitative healthcare delivery services.

How will the fifth anniversary edition different from the previous years and what should awardees and delegates expect?
Over the years, NHEA has engendered more awareness on quality and standard of services provided by various stakeholders, this year, NHEA 2018 will maintain this culture. Awardees and delegates can look forward to a classy and exciting evening with special features and excellent networking opportunities.NHEA 2018 will also highlight the NHEA winners CSR Initiative and the NHEA West Africa Awards.

In what way has the yearly award contributed to the Nigerian health sector?
It has shown that increased competition leads to more innovation, higher productivity, improved quality and greater efficiency.

What are the criteria for selection and what informs that?
NHEA has several categories of awards that cover the various healthcare services that are provided in Nigeria. Nominations are received from members of the public through the NHEA website and nominees are thereafter subject to online voting and verification.

What have been your constraints in organizing the event?
The usual constraints involved in online processes and late commitment of nominees, otherwise we have managed quite well to be able to successfully host the Award for 5 years till date.

Who are your major sponsors?
We are open to partnering with all individuals and organizations that are committed to investing in the future of healthcare development in Nigeria and West Africa as a whole.

Is there something you want the government to do in the health sector?
We are all aware of the challenges of the healthcare sector in Nigeria and we believe government is doing their best to address those problems. NHEA is about recognizing and celebrating those who have contributed positively to improve the healthcare delivery in Nigeria in their own little way.

How will the programme benefit Nigerians?
NHEA is committed to ensuring that the healthcare system in Nigeria reaches international standard in healthcare delivery for the wellbeing of her citizens.
