How To Recreate Beyoncé’s Natural Makeup Look From Vogue September Cover
To celebrate Queen Beyoncé’s birthday today, we are taking a cue from one of her recently celebrated beauty looks.
Beyoncé recently covered the biggest and most important issue from Vogue – the September issue. This time, the singer had total creative control over it. 23-year-old Tyler Mitchell, an uprising young photographer she handpicked, shot the cover.
Queen Bey looked ethereal dressed in Gucci, Lynn Ban headpiece, and a floral headdress by Rebel Rebel. And her glowing makeup by beauty expert Sir John complemented the look.
Sir John gave a few tips on how you can recreate one of Beyoncé’s iconic look with these steps from the man himself:
1. Prep is key
The beauty expert prepped Beyoncé’s skin using the Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer. This product, containing five types of coconut, nourishes the skin and hydrates the complexion.
2. Glow from within
Sir John used a few drops of the bronzey Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter in Fantasy with a rose-gold finish for that lit-from-within glow. Apply this to the high points of your face (the angles and not the front).
3. Apply foundation on wet skin
The best way to lock in your glow, according to Sir John is to apply foundation on wet, moisturised skin. After this, he applied a slightly darker foundation with a few drops of the highlight for an extra effect.
4. Set it
He finished the look with Finish-Line Perfecting Coconut Setting Powder, infused with five different types of coconut and cocoa butter for a lasting soft-matte finish.
