Marsai Martin is set to star in a comedy film titled, Little.

The film which will be her first studio feature is an original idea of the 13-year-old.  The film is about a woman who is giving another opportunity to relive her childhood life as Martin, her when the pressures of adulthood come tumbling down. Asides being the brain behind the film, she will be the executive producer.

The comedy will be directed by Tina Gordon, the scriptwriter for Drumline. Martin’s co-executive producers for Little are Regina Hall and Josh Martin.

In ABC Emmy-nominated comedy, Black-ish, Martins plays the role of smartest of the twin, Diane Johnson, in the Johnson Family. Her parents in the American sitcom are Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross.
