Everybody is trying to eat healthily but that doesn’t exclude the treats you deserve every now and then. On the list of treats, it’s never a bad time to give yourself a chocolate treat. If you’re looking for that lovely recipe for a romantic date or need to stimulate your taste buds, these chocolate recipes are to die for.

Chocolate Trifle

This mouthwatering delight is a beautiful combination of brownie and chocolate mixes with thawed, whipped toppings on different layers. Also, add coffee or coffee-flavoured liquor and crushed toffee-flavoured candy bars to give it a smart edge. Variations to the recipe exist, but they all result in a burst of sugary goodness.

Éclair cake

This easy-to-make dessert is a mouth-watering mix of vanilla pudding and milk with thawed, whipped toppings and chocolate syrup spread on the top. It is ready to eat after refrigeration for about an hour. You can also enjoy the cake by using crackers as a base for each layer.

Hot fudge ice cream bar

This ice cream dessert is made by pouring a smooth mix of chocolate syrup and peanut butter on a layer of ice cream sandwich. An ice cream sandwich is a dessert made up of ice cream between two wafers or cookies. Sprinkle with salted peanuts and add another ice cream sandwich to start a new layer. Create as many layers as you desire, although four is ideal, refrigerate until firm and dig in.

White chocolate and raspberry cheesecake

This cheesecake is perfect for events where there are many mouths to feed. It is made with a mixture of softened cream cheese, all-purpose flour, vanilla extract, chunks of white chocolate, sour cream, sugar and seedless raspberry jam. Bake the mixture for about 80 minutes and leave to cool. Use a mixture of crackers or cookies, butter and sugar as the base for an extra touch.

Chocolate-covered strawberries

Of all the desserts on this list, this is the easiest to make. First off, melt chunks of chocolate in a microwave until it’s a smooth paste. Dip half of the strawberries in the chocolate paste and leave open for the chocolate to set. For diversity, you can mix white chocolate with regular chocolate or create rings with the white chocolate around the chocolate-covered strawberry. An alternative for strawberries are cherries, which have almost the same effect.
